Feeling like a failure

After 29 days sober, which is my longest stretch, I relapsed. That was almost a month ago and since then its been a mix of days drinking, with some nights getting annihilating drunk. I reset my clock and am back at square one today. Wish me luck!

Good luck my friend! Relapses really do happen, I want go as far to say it’s expected, however it’s kind of part of “oh crap” I need to do something different. That small skirmish was lost, but not the war!

Stay focused, and if you do relapse don’t shame yourself and go right back to I don’t drink. Those 29 days could had been alcohol fuelled but they weren’t, that’s progress and shows you can do it!

I wish you all the luck!
You got this! Everyone can end up with a bad relapse. Just look past it and struggle on.

I myself have a crisis and fighting the urge.
Just stay strong and take it in you own pace.
This place is helping me a bunch, so talk to people in here.

Hi @Mgoff103.

I see a number of people out here today struggling with slip/relapse. I would recommend spending some time studying relapse prevention and how to deal with cravings. Some good resources are in these posts:
