Losing my mind

On average it takes an hour per unit consumed (which is why people are caught out driving in the morning while still over the limit).
A large glass of wine or a pint of strong lager is 3 units. So if a litre of 45 percent alcohol’s your tipple (measured as 90 percent in the US) that’s around 2 days.
Scary, eh.

Depending on the amount consumed and length it could take just a little longer. The healing that takes place for the brain can be quite longer. It took me about 14 days to feel fully out of the grogginess. Meaning I could look at a number and memorize it in 5 secs. So, emotions, anxiety and feelings took me around 14 days to be back to I never drank feeling.

Couldn’t agree more @Shattered_dreams. 1 unit per hour is an average.
As to the damage, ‘The Fog’ we refer to varies time-wise, then there’s PAWS, neurological damage, wet brain, damage to the organs (not just the poor old liver), etc.
Yeah, we all did it good, didn’t we.
