877 days. Sometimes want to stop stickering days. Sometimes want to say I don’t need to go to a meeting. Yet these are the things I did and need to do to remain sober.
CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!! Almost there!! I’ve got 25 days to go!!
Yo, that’s awesome…
Keep it up!
WOW - that is awesome - great work on your 25 days! Keep going strong ![]()
gotta keep stickering girl – you told yourself you would till 1000 days and trying to get out of it is your addict mind trying to make you complacent…plus - we enjoy em ![]()
You are doing awesome work - just keep putting in the work! The rewards are showing ![]()
“and trying to get out of it is your addict mind trying to make you complacent…”
This is really profound.
I’m new to sobriety & recovery; and it’s wild for me to hear that my addict mind will try to convince me to quit, not just avoiding the addiction directly, but even to quit doing the things that help me to stay sober - even the super simple things.
Thank you for giving that great advice.
Glad you are here and reading around. Grateful this advice helped you in your journey. Keep reading the threads here… some amazing tips and advice from fellow members. Addiction is not something we can just get over and then forget about… I’ve heard a saying that when you are working on your recovery your addiction is in the parking lot doing push ups LOL… it really is such a prick and ready to pounce on any opportunity to get us back into its grasp. Life is soooo much better without our addictions. Keep fighting for yourself ![]()
Thank you! I’m trying every day.
Thank you!!
Day 71 of 100.
I’ve learned throughout my journey that you dont have to have a guilty conscience 24/7 because your imperfect. Shut it down. The ‘not good enough’ feeling has dominated me since my childhood and i’m a grown man in my mid 40’s. Like enough already. Every single day i need to focus on gratitude. I’m alive and well. Just be alive and well and keep it moving.
Love this! You are awesome friend. 71 days free from your addiction but also 71 days of learning to love yourself and find a better way to deal with life and all its stresses. So proud of your journey! ![]()
Day 75 of 100.
Ups and downs, also on red alert. Just trying to stay focused.
Great job. Let’s stay sober today together.

Looking great - love the round numbers! Keep up the great work
Onto the next 100

900 days are creeping up now - love this for you! much love Lea Ann… keep shining my friend!

Day 87 of 100, i relapsed.
In the process, developed some better tactics/safeguards, nothing new, just reaffirmed what i need to do.
I get arrogant, drop my habits, and fail. Its been 25 years and never last 1 full year free. Just a never ended war within.
Day 3 of 100 with 5 PF playbook tactics.
Punishment for setback: 30 days game free. I need consequences for my actions. Is that harsh? (My true motive: im only askimg that for someone to say its true so i can redownload it.) You need to get it together, my wife has been patient for years, she thinks im good and im still struggling with this stupid trash.
So we know that we need to continually work on ourselves and when we don’t that is when we are in danger of a relapse. I am sorry that you have not reached the 100 day mark. Maybe this milestone is as a barrier? Could you do 50 days twice? Like When I started doing the 100 day challenge I found it nice to do the 100 days in 100 day increments to get me to 1000 days. Now I feel strong in my sober footing but know I can revisit this tactic if needed in the future to get me to 2000 days.
For you - maybe do 50 days and keep reupping the challenge and before you know it you would have surpassed 100 days - 200 days etc.
I am grateful to see that you did not let the relapse hold you back and are here fighting towards another chance. I know you have done consequences before for when you have relapsed. Has that worked? Do you think that gaming is what caused your relapse? What does your therapist say?
ODAAT friend - keep working your recovery
