Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
It’s Day 8 of my sobriety. I have an exam in about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and honestly — I’m scared. After my last exam in January, I got an E, and it hit me hard. I used to get A’s and B’s, so it really messed with my confidence. I ended up using that disappointment as an excuse to go to a party… and it turned into a months-long spiral that lasted until April.
But today I’m sober — and this will be my first exam without any substances. Just me, raw and real.

I wish you well not just with this exam but with all the future ones that you’re gonna do great on.
I have dealt with that too and was almost considering relapse to have the energy for studying for exams. But after all that was the wrong way and probably would have the opposite effect.

Wishing you success with your exam and with your sobriety! Should you not do so great on your exam don’t let it let you give your sobriety up.
Then it is just another spiral.

I hope your exam went well. Just think about this….. imagine never having to worry about a Field Sobriety Exam for the rest of your life.
I had to drink all the drinks to get to a surrender point in my alcoholism. I wish I had surrendered when I accepted Step 1. I wish you the absolute best in your recovery!!!
