An urban hike today giving a rather different view from Amsterdam. This was one of my playgrounds as a kid, nearly 50 years ago. It might be the last of these ‘rafelrandjes’ or rough/frayed edges in Amsterdam. It will be gone soon, to make place for some big development.

Hiking around Jameson Lake in the Sierra Nevada Foothills above Sacramento. Spent the day with a rehab friend taking an 8 mile hike around the lake. Grateful to be out.

Me on the right with my father in law who recently passed, hiked up to the top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park. Grateful to be sober now and back to doing these things!

Not mine, but my old friend (also from MA) who also happens to live in the same city here in AZ.
Goes out into the bush most weekends. Can’t wait to heal up so I can join him. This was from somewhere along the Gila River this past weekend.
