46 days clean but lack of motivation and laziness

I’m 46 days clean without any substances, but the main problem I’m facing is a lack of motivation and constant laziness. I feel lazy all day. My mind always tells me to lie down on the bed and just scroll through reels.

Why does this happen? Can anyone share their experiences and any remedies or tips that helped them change this?

The way social media work is addictive as hell. It’s conciously designed to get you hooked. So in a way what you do (what most of us do) is perpetuating your addictied behaviours by other means. My advice is to work on a day schedule, for example once a week. A day schedule with activities you can and will do. Like working out, reading, writing, socialzing, whatever has your fancy. Success!

And congrats on 46 days of course! Never think going back to that has any use.

Menno has said what I was going to. Social media is designed to entrap you and numb your brain. It makes you feel like shit.

That being said I did also get a tiredness when my “pink cloud” of sobriety faded around the same time as you. More like my body was done being excited about the healing process and was just tired from having to fix all the damage I’d done. Rest, read a book, put the social media down. Think about that day plan.
