7 days so far...small steps

7 days sober. This is the longest I’ve gone without drinking except for recovering from a hospital stay and that was 21 days.

I feel pretty good. It’s nice not feeling hungover and basically like crap. Definitely a change for the better.

I don’t look forward to being sober next week, month, or year. I look forward to only today. Each individual day. I can’t control my past or future. I control the present.
