Congratulations on 124 days! I know some of those days can still be hard. You are doing the right thing by reminding yourself that the goodness you feel in your sobriety is worth fighting for. I pray you continue to choose yourself and continue to choose to be your best friend in your journey! There is no substance that can ever compare to the feeling of taking your life back, restoring your confidence, and having control. Sometimes we hear the things we need to hear just at the right time. I am glad this post spoke to you in such a way.

I read it right before I went out with my old drinking friends for dinner. Reading your words squared my shoulders a bit so I could hold that sobriety crown. Heads up, clear eyes, open hearts.
