Addiction / love

I’ve been sober for 110 days. I’ve been using opioids for 4 years. I spent 3 months in rehab.

A person has come into my life who has made my heart beat faster…

I feel good, we have a good time together… but every morning when I wake up I feel terrible… both physically and mentally… which goes away in about 2-3 hours.

What should I do? I need help…

I don’t want to lose this person, I don’t want to go back to opioids…

You and I don’t ever have to use or drink again. This person makes you feel alive and there’s nothing wrong with that!
Now if they use that’s not healthy for either of you. Is that why you stated you didn’t want to go back to opiates?

thnx for comment, means a lot.
i just want to loos this person and about opioids, it’s over in my life…

in rehab, i have been told than for me love is forbidden for one year…

Ahh yes, it’s recommended because we need to get solid in knowing and loving our sober selves before we get into any committed relationships.
What work are you doing on your new self? Soonsor, meetings? Started working the steps? Have you been completely open and honest with this person as to your recovery?
