Thank you for nominating me, I think it’s a compliment
But like @ifs already mentioned I declined the offer. I do not think I can do it because of het language barrier I’m fighting with. I miss details wich are important.
I think all of the people mentioned above can be good moderators. I think it’s important for moderators to have a place were they can discuss issues. Is there a place like that @SassyRocks? Like a kind of lounge for moderators?
Good way to find out… Accept the nomination.
I think you have said this before and I understand. But for what it’s worth, I think you’d be an awesome mod.
Everyone should decide for themself offcourse. But I reckon you’d be fine language wise there’s always Google if you don’t get something people say.
Is there a suggested clean time for being a mod?
I didn’t see that. You don’t have to be longer in the game to evaluate if a comment is rude or wrong or not… Your common sense and your heart is what’s needed for that and there both on point with you Cristel!
Hi Robin,
Is there a suggested cleantime for the position?
Thank you.
Last I knew there was no suggested clean time.
I thought this same thing over a year ago, when they added mods to help Steve and Robin.
If you’d like to become a mod, message Robin. I think you’d make a right fine mod.
I sended you and @Fargesia_murielae a PM to explain myself more in Dutch about my reasons, thank you for the compliment
Correct not Black white.
Being an addict nor my clean time defines what my standards are.
I am more then my addiction.
Nothing but love wasn’t trying to pressure you into anything dear Claudia!
I get what your saying and that one because not antive English could miss some nuance… That can happen but a mod is better then no mod.
I’m a think about it.
I think when the most recent lot were added it was suggested at least a year clean time. Although I would have thought time spent on the forum would be just as helpful a thing to look at (length and activity level).
First of all… Hell nope… “Grumpy a-hole” for a mod… secondly, humble thanks @Eke I’m honoured
@anon12657779 @Fargesia_murielae @CaptAZ @crystalclear @SoberWalker @Yoda-Stevie @anon13078412
These are the ppl I see on here all the time reaching out and given good sound FAIR advice.
Thnx for the validation
The thing is… I want to do service where I can.
I do service in both my NA groups.
And this is like my third group.i feel respected welcome and not judged so I’d be more then willing to be of service to all of you.
@siand thank you for insight on cleantime. I’m am not there yet. So I’ll hold my horses if that’s the case but when due I’ll be ready to provide service to our community.
I believe it will help me grow further either and school me more on my recovery it would be a 2 way street I guess.
There’s the grumpy girl I know! And just when I thought you might be getting a little too sweet and whiny!! You would be a great Mod though!!
Yes, there is a place for moderators to discuss things.
Thank you so much to all who mentioned me. I am truly honored that anyone would think I would be good for our little community here. Right now, my life is full of two wild little boys who take up every second - and I try to model responsible, limited screen time around them. Probably not conducive to being a mod!. I know the others who have voluteered will do a great job. Thank again, y’all…
Totally understand this.
It’s fine if you don’t want to be a mod, but don’t let the language barrier scare you off. I think your English is fine. Besides, English is technically my second language too!
It’s not set in stone, but ideally someone with a year sober or a year on the forum.
