Just a quick postcard from my break:

I greatly appreciate the faith and confidence those of you who nominated me, have in me.

I feel that being a mod is a tremendous honor, and along with that comes an expectation and commitment to serve. More often than not, mods accept the offer, and then life circumstances or choices pull them in other directions, leaving it to one or two to press on. I’d hate to be in either category.

Therefore, I must follow the example of General William Tecumseh Sherman in saying:

“If nominated, I will not run. If elected I will not serve”.

I know whomever is ultimately selected will execute their duties with vigor and enthusiasm.

Now, back to my break.
