Not unusual for newly sober to feel itchy just before approaching milestones. Once achieved, usually solidify recovery.
Otherwise back to day 1 or worse.

I was actually quite blue on my one year anniversary. I was actually very proud of my year but felt like other people were not understanding how big a deal it was. In the end I decided I could celebrate exactly how I wanted rather than expecting others to do it for me. I booked a tattoo appointment and bought myself a 1 year coin and went to a meeting.

Welcome and big congrats on almost 1 year sober! I hit 1 year last week. The day after was harder than I imagined. I had to give myself a new goal to work toward. 500 days.
