Got this album on a whim back in the summer. Wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, but damn if it didn’t worm its way into my head. Listen to it a few times a week recently. Super catchy and fun. Great production quality too, sounds really good on my system.
I’m a few days late, but the 17th was the fourth anniversary of the passing of Canadian icon Gord Downie of the The Tragically Hip. Singer, songwriter, writer, activist. So I thought I’d share a song. This is Wheat Kings, which is about a Canadian man arrested at age 16, and put in prison for 23 years for a crime he did not commit. He was finally found innocent after all those years imprisoned.
Might be specifically about cheating? But I’m claiming it as a mood for everything. Including being kept on hold.
