One of the best guitarists of all time Paul Gilbert just an absolute shredder hard to imagine him and Billy Sheehan were in the same band, love this one
Iām with you on Lady Gaga. At first I wrote her off as a Terry Bozzio clone 20 years removed, but sheās definitely got talent and has staying power continuing to reinvent herself and prove her artistry.
And yeah, Ron Burgundyā¦
Yeah man Heilung is great, if you enjoy them check out SkĆ”ld, Danheim (I use them a lot for meditations), Wardruna, Faun. Iām sure Iāve posted them in here and I think Iāve seen you post some stuff like this before so if you listen to Heilung my guess is youāve found some of those other ones.
Iām a heathen I love saying this especially when people post these bands, keep it coming. This music is from an age thats forgotten, to me it is very sacred in honoring the Gods everytime a person takes a listen to that music, its not for everyone, but neither is being a spiritual being.
And for some reason Burgundy got me in the mood for some jazz its a chill evening Id say. You eat that cat poop Ron Burgundy haha such a funny movie
Yeah man when me and my buddy go on Saturdays its dead we throw death metal on the gym stereo, its a big unit thats for the whole gym, depending whos in there we get pretty shitty looks, Iām like whatever I donāt care workout i usually just use my headphones though
Ironically I saw Amon Amarth on that tour with this band that was the moment I found my spirituality , was about 2008 or something like that, was a blast, I went and go Eldar Futhark runes of my name and parents names on me afterwards. Amazing music bud
Fuck man thanks for that I never even realized thats what it always was, thats both my energies coming out. Made me want to drum like I havenāt wanted to in years gonna go jam dude have yourself a good evening
Ok, so this meme came up yesterday and got me thinking about all the vinyl LPs I bought, the hours spent in used record stores in Boston looking for new music or rare recordings. I still have ~500 vintage vinyl that I go to every so often to enjoy. The first album I bought was āThe Red Albumā (1962-1966). Played that and āThe Blue Albumā to death as a kid. Amazing to watch such a profound evolution and maturation in such a short time!!

I had a huge phase of the Beatles in my mid 20s I just hit a point where I was looking for more in my music, and even though Iām not a huge fan of theres I always go back and listen to certain tunes that just bring you back to a golden era where everything was booming (except the Civil War) and the beginning of rock music the way it had evolved, then we get bands like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple and many more come out of the 60s wjth that 70s movement. Amazing group of dudes, Paul McCartney writing Helter Skelter was always my favorite but what a bunch of talented and in the end great people each of them years after 2 of them are gone.
I used to have tons of cassettes, I had a lot of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith I got brought into the world of mix tapes and man I used to make so many just unreal thinking Iām still doing it years later. Anyways first cd I bought I was 12 and even thought it isnāt my favorite from the 80s Metallica releases it was my first, back to the start
Ending the day on a high note - uncommon footage of Maiden performing their illegal song about the novel Dune!
What a classic, love it! Thanks for sharing!!
The seventh son album was the beginning of the end for me and I was a HUUUUGE maiden fan.
