Yeah man it was cool seeing them on the 20th anniversary tour they were with Testament and Exodus and they played the whole Rust In Peace album was a great night definitely id say that is Dave Mustaine writing at his best
I was responding to NIN - Terrible Lie
Megadeth is cool too, though!
The only guy who can pull off those threads looking that classy since the days of Fish in Marillion
Haha thats awesome yeah man Trent Reznor is a genius, very inspirational for how I have started to write music
NIN is one show I try not to miss any time they come around. Think Iâve seen them 4 times (once w/ Soundgarden, that was cool), theyâve been absolutely mind-blowing every time.
Best was at BonnarooâŚ2009? I only went once. But I was front row for NIN w/ Dillinger Escape Plan
@TMAC @marcusmaximus2000 @Mno whoever wishes to enjoy some visual amazeballs, here ya go. Definitely one band I havenât seen that I wish I would have. Tool puts on an amazing show as well, and donât get me started on Pink Floydâs Pulse
Lol exact same time I commented about how awesome they are live!
Yeah man I actually didnât even like NIN in high-school I had a few opportunities to see them and I didnât and me now wishes I could kick myself in the ass for that absolutely amazing live, next time they tour (if Trent decides to) Iâm going even if its only a covid sit at home concert
@anon83587935 @TMAC @Mno etc⌠LOVE NIN! Saw them several times in the '90s/early 2000s. Two standouts were the NIN/JA tour with Janeâs Addiction and when they opened for Bowie. The Bowie show in particular was epic - NIN opened and played a full headline set, then came out for their encore with Bowie to do several of their biggest tunes. Each song they added more of Bowieâs band to the mix, then NIN left but Trent stayed and it went straight into Bowieâs set. The first several Bowie songs were duets (including Man Who Sold the World, which was big due to Nirvanaâs cover at the time). It was a solid 4+ hours of non-stop music by two amazing artists!!
Thatâs one of my all-time tours I wish I couldâve seen! Love all 3.
Oh gosh, I havenât listened to them since I was a kid. I wasnât a fan, but my best friend was.
Its definitely a genre of music that isnât for everyone but you canât think of Norway without black metal
I think of Finland the same way.
But nope it isnât for everyone. Being raised in the Pentecostal church we where only allowed to listen to Christian music, with the Hanson brothers as the only âPop cultureâ example.
I used to sneak away and listen to The Offspring, my best friend preferred bands like this, Marilyn Manson and other âdevilish musicâ mostly for the spite of it.
Nowdays I still like the Offspring, itâs like the soundtrack to my teens. Even if I prefer American country music, like Luke Bryan.
