This is Gaspar Nali from Malawi.
He made his instrument (which he named a Babatoni) from all recycled materials, including the wires from inside car tires being used as the strings. Love the timbre of it. Catchy song, and it goes to show that if you have the passion and desire to create ā€“ youā€™ll make it happen.

Man I love HIM (and jackass). I used to listen to them every day back in those days and this was one of my favorite songs. I had no idea it was about Novakā€™s heroin addiction.

Thanks for sharing :love_you_gesture:

I actually am a huge HIM fan, Ville Valo is one of my favorite song writers, as is Dani Filth from Cradle Of Filth, I appreciate the drop dude a killer song  I have many songs by HIM that Iā€™ve poured drunken emotions into Passions Killing Floor and Behind The Crimson Door would be two of them for sure ill try to do a share later for HIM :metal:

Ville used to be an alcoholic prior to Venus Doom, a lot of the songs he talks about are very subliminal, there is suicide, addiction, toxic love, relationship problemsā€¦trauma so much in those lyrics, I used to spend Fridays getting shit faced pounding HIM and crying cause it was one of the only way I could actually release emotions. But now when I listen its less emotional and its more like I just hear the words for what they are and try not to attach myself to the lyrics? I appreciate there are others whove been touched by Villes lyrics :metal:

Yeah Cradle was good in the 90s and I know they took a different road away from the black metal scene but they did a good job I know they get slammed a lot but I stand by them, they still wound up being one of the most successful black metal bands whether hardcore trve kvlt elitists want to consider them or not. Iā€™m a deep Burzum fan and I listen to them and love em why the fuck not right?

A good one for uplifting yourself :metal:
