Ever heard of these guys?
They played back up for Counting Crows at the Greek Theater. Few years ago. I never heard of them. I love it when the back up band is better than the headline.

I love Henry, such a cool guy.

Oh goodbye booze
Forever more
My boozin’ days will soon be o’er
I had a good time, but we couldn’t agree
So you see what booze has done for me

Definitely good, some of it was reminding me of Dire Straits at points, his vocals were quite good though! Never heard of them Eric, its always good to find hidden gems amongst the other bands! :metal:

Fun fact.
Formed in 1986 and hailing from Santa Barbara, California, Toad the Wet Sprocket took their name after the fictional band featured in the spoken word skit, “Rock Notes,” by Eric Idle, one of the founding members of the British comedy troupe, Monty Python’s Flying Circus. It originally appeared on the 1980 album, “Monty Python’s Contractual Obligation Album.” In the skit, Idle, who often portrayed television newscasters, parodies entertainment reporters by running down the latest doings of various fictional bands and rock personalities. Idle opens the skit talking about “Rex Stardust, lead electric triangle with Toad the Wet Sprocket,” who had to “have an elbow removed following their recent successful worldwide tour of Finland.”

Love this.
I use to have this as my ring back tone. So instead of hearing ringing when you called me you would here Eric Idle singing Bright Side of Life. Sometimes, many times, when I answered the other person would be in laughter and a couple of times forgot what they were calling me about.
Just love those guys. Too fucking funny.
Laughter and music are the best remedies.

Great album that :ok_hand: They really stepped things up with the production on this one. I tend to prefer the more stripped down crappy production with black metal, but they really nailed it with this. Inspired me to dig out this classic.

This popped up on a Spotify playlist last night on my way home from a meeting and I couldn’t stop car dancing… Still going round my head today!

Such a good album dude, I would have to say my favorite album by them is At The Heart Of Winter, but Immortal is one of the few black metal bands imo that has been able to have a more developed and polished sound away from the rawness and be like the absolute best in the scene for so long :metal:

Totally agree. At the Heart of Winter is another blinder! Probably the coolest album artwork for them as well. Off the top of my head the only band I can think of that have that slick production but still sound spot on would be Watain.
