They are touring for their 40th anniversary, and allegedly Blackie is no holds bars this time, he wasn’t playing staples of their heyday do to his new found Christianity, but I think this tour is supposed to be different and I definitely wanna see them
This is fantastic.
Roughly two months ago I heard my uncle sing the high bits on this song and now it’s made my playlist because of how much it makes me smile.
And the addition of Barry White. Genius.
Love The Doors, but their music is very triggering for me… Listened to the LA Woman album all the way through for the first time AF in a while. Yes it triggered the urge but I rode it out, and thought of how alcohol (among other drugs) ruined Jim Morrison, and led to his early death. The urge passed and I was left feeling grounded, and just carried on cooking dinner while listening to some good tunes.
Nice! Never heard that before.
I’d say that the whole album is worth a listen if you liked it. Hope you are well.
Cool I’ll check it today hope your weekend is going good. Peace
Did you see the crimson idol movie? It’s on YouTube. I saw it there really good. The link I have has Spanish subtitles. But it’s all in English
Your post says it all.
Jim was quite the songwriter and performer but the booze and the drugs were his ultimate demise. It reminds me of no matter how much we can tout that life, the outcome is always the same death,
Right, imagine all the talented artists and musicians we’d still have with us if they hadn’t succumbed to addiction, and what more they could have accomplished.
