1st book I’m just starting. 2nd book is an oldy from a free little library or goodwill.

Idk why but like ever since I watched a doc and that movie Mothman Prophecies I have a serious phobia about it lol silly but it like freaks me out bad lol

We tend to fear what we do not understand. I know people who claim to have seen the Mothman costume! They claim it was all a hoax that went too far.
So, when you heart starts pounding 100 mph, you forget to breathe, and you start get cold sweats…try to remember that things are scarier when we have less oxygen in our brains!
Take a deep breathe and think: am I safe?
Not do I FEEL unsafe, like after watching a horror movie. Our feelings can lie to us. Rather am I actually safe?
Once you determine that, things aren’t so scary anymore.

Things your grandchildren should know, by Mark Oliver Everett. It’s the life story and musings of Mr E the guy who formed the Rock band Eels. Wonderfully written book.

@wcan .Hi, I said I would let you know about Think like a Monk. I got a bit side-lined but I have read more than half. So far, I think if you have read a number of books that expand your horizons there may not be anything new here. It could be better to stick with the podcasts. I’ll let you know if I change my mind. :bookmark:

Yo, the movie was super creepy and (I thought) very well done. I feel like the book would be too much. Lol

mcCarthy has such a unique style and voice. The Road was one of my favorite non fantasy books I’ve read. I should get back to him at some point.
