Any Avid Readers Here? What are you currently reading?

Just finished re-reading Cousin Kate by Georgette Heyer. It is 10.10pm and I am now in that strange land of not knowing what to do with myself after the ending. I remember as a teenager going to bed at about 7pm after finishing one of the Flowers in the Attic series as didn’t know what to do with myself

I may have to start another book now just so I don’t stare into space.

Does anyone else ever get this when a book ends too soon?

The trip is over, but I’ll keep reading books! Thanks!

Currently reading Death on the Nile. Good so far!

Yes, and I tend to start a new Kindle book immediately. I’m on book 25 of the year. I can’t not have a book on the go, I often decide on advance.

Exactly the same!! I love reading and over the last few years have totally reduced my TV viewing. My ipad comes everywhere with me in case I have some spare minutes to read (either the library app or kindle). I seem to be going through a happy ending phase so a lot of current literature is out

Love that book, Agatha Christie is one of my all time favourites! Cosy crime has got me through some tough times

Re-reading my Agatha Christie collection this year. I love good crime stories. The new Karsten Dusse will be out in fall, I’m looking forward to it. Murder mindfully 1-3 were hillarious!

I don’t know those, will have to look for them. Re-reading books like that is like a comfort blanket. I am going back to Amelia Peabody next I think

And I liked the Amelia Peabody novels, read them ages ago.

Sadly my German is limited so could only muddle through about a page and would probably miss the humour, will see if translated.

agree with you about the amazon series, its not how I perceived the books at all.

I once read a book about indulgence, couldn’t get enough of it

What was it ?

I think I did pretty well. Not to toot my own horn.

@JennyH Awesome! I would love to see that in person. I’ve heard that it’s one of the longest running plays of all time. I acted as Giles Ralston, the stuck up Inn Keeper.

This book is so good, solid gold for (poly)addicts in order to understand themselves and their behavior
