Going on my second day! It’s not easy
On day 2 no booze, im cooking and studying its a good sunday

The first days are definitely tough, so good for you to get here and share!
In my first days I concentrated on taking best care of myself. And when the cravings came on I had a lot of different things to try. I went for walks, I drank tea and other beverages (beware of caffeine!). I took alternating hot and cold showers. I watched tv and I read a lot about alcohol and addiction. As the weeks ticked by I was able to establish new routines and I was experiencing the positive results pretty quickly. Getting into a good sleep routine helped a lot too.

I’m in my first week , I’m new to this app . I been having problems sleeping is that normal when the body detoxing ?
Very normal. Lots of threads here on that very topic. It will get better.

I am on day 5… yesterday got a little tough as I was off work and by 1 pm I found myself wanting to go to the fridge to grab a seltzer. I didn’t realize the mental part about getting sober… how hard it is. But I decided to go for a walk instead.
