Anyone read Russell Brand’s book, Recovery?

I highly recommend Russell Brand’s new book Recovery. I’ve been a drinker since 18 (41 now), but the habit really caught fire after having my kids 7 years ago and having to start taking care of my mom due to Alzheimer’s. I heard a clip of him reading from the book, and the next day I bought it. I’m about to have my first 8 days under my belt. Something about the way he writes about addiction finally clicked for me. Came clean to my husband. I hope I can carry on with this journey. So far I’ve not been to a meeting…

Hi, well done on your 8 days, keep it going.
I’m a big fan of Russell Brand and have his book lined up to read next. I watched the above clip and was moved by how honest and frank he is. I have read his other biographies and they hit a cord with me so I hope ‘recovery’ will do the same. Happy reading :+1:

Check out Russell’s YouTube channel to, if you’re interested, much advice and wisdom can be found on there in which he shares. I also enjoy his podcast Under the Skin, where he frequently talks about the struggles with addiction and life in recovery. Russel Brand is a refreshing, humourous man and quite a blessing.
