Back here where I belong

I had decided I could handle drinking again and that went very poorly so I’ve decided to put down the bottle and redownload this app that helped me so much a year ago! Woke up this morning with a scraped up face and jacked up back and NO idea how that happened which was quite the wake up call. I’m so glad to be back in the community and look forward to being sober with all of y’all again!!

Welcome back. More than some of us have thought that we could outmaneuver the beast and more than some of us learned that’s not so.

I’m glad you’re here and I hope you’ll stay.

Welcome back! I spent a long time thinking I could moderate…bargaining on how I could drink…just weekends, just vodka, only wine, only 3 drinks a night, etc etc…it always eventually led to the same erratic black out mess that I was…so I hear you.

Good choice you made coming here!

Thanks all!! Yes it has been a tumultuous 6 or so months of me pretending that I had a handle on everything. I and those all around me all knew that was a lie. I’m looking forward to feeling good again physically and mentally.

Been there, done that.

Eventually we just NEED to admit we are powerless. It seems scary and weak but the truth is that it is the most powering.

I’m back at it with you! I know moderating my drinking has always just led me back into out of control drinking. So going back to saying no to that first drink!! Nothing but positive things happened for me when I quit alcohol and I’m ready to get back to feeling good again

Glad you’re back here with us. You know you can do it for good this time. You did the most important step already … now say no to the only drink that matters, this one first drink. You can do it! One day at a time. Looking forward to read more from you on your journey to sobriety. All the best to you
