Hey All,
I know I say this almost daily but I truly want to Thank you guys for your support fighting these demons. Since my addiction to alcohol have snatched my whole life from under me I’ve never been able to say things were looking up for me but guess what…… NOW I CAN! I was just approved to move into my home with my 3 children and we are all just ecstatic. I just finished spending a couple 1,000 furnishing everything and after locking the house up and driving away I had a fleeting thought to celebrate. I couldn’t think of one sensible thing to celebrate with that didn’t involve alcohol. I really need new enjoyable things I can do. Im on Day #10 Sober and learning new joys in this life is my mission

Huge congrats on your progress Ressa! As to celebrating without alcohol, you’ll learn. We’ve been totally conditioned to believe alcohol needs to be involved with all we do. Now the time has come to unlearn these fals thoughts and convictions. I’m sure you will, if only by doing everything sober now. Keep going. Hugs.

Celebrating our wins is important! My favorite celebratory item is icecream or froyo. I’ve become quite fond of the DQ blizzard!!
