Been sitting here just battling myself. Talking myself into drinking and then talking myself back out of it. I’m so tired of it. Now I just keep saying 1 equals 1000 over and over like a broken record. I’m crazy. What little tricks or things do you do on nights of struggle?
Think of all the shitty parts of drinking.
It literally destroys your body over time.
I could think of a few more reasons but you get it.
The battle is hard but you are stronger than you think.
Take a walk? Hot shower? Read? Distraction helps
For me it’s walking, or movies. Just find something that you like doing.
I play the tape to the end. Basically reminding myself of why i quit in the first place. I use distraction also. Wether it be cleaning, exercising, getting out in nature etc. I have a name for my addictive thinking also and i often would tell it to F Off! Lol it works for me! And i remember most of all… that the craving DOES pass. It doesnt last forever. Take it 1 min, 1 hour etc at a time
Yea battling cannabis cravings. Giving it up day 4.
Great reminder. Thank you
I was going bad. I had to reset myself and March again. Seeked some help and got my head meds and medications restarted. Currently I’m on day 8 and I am moving forward. Back on the app as well. Thank you everyone for the messages.
