Routine is so helpful! Sounds like you’re on the right path. I do the same thing, gym first then, then work and bed by 8:30-9. I spend the evening making dinner (huge foodie here so that helps). When I’m bored I knit or read.

Routines are big for me. So much comfort in them. My favorite, even though I am not a morning person by nature, is to get up super early and set the day for success. I make coffee, do laundry, tidy up, write, and get myself into a good head space before any one else wakes up. It has become so essential to my well being. When I sleep in on the weekends, I actually miss it and feel more scattered, so I often keep it going.
