Today is my birthday. I am 56 days sober. I have not had a sober birthday since I was probably a teen. It’s a lot harder than I imagined actually

So @Kwalke ,I am only a few years behind you age wise and like you have spent almost all of my birthdays in the same place as you. I had my first sober in I don’t know how long about six months ago. Thing is I was only about seven weeks sober, wasn’t truly getting the benefits yet. I am looking more forward to the next. And holidays, I am anticipating a sober Christmas, not being lit by 9am on Christmas day and not even half remembering Christmas Eve. Good things are coming for us who are working at this task. Just sharing I get where you’re at, stay with it and look forward to the things you have missed out on. Happy birthday and enjoy being present in it.
