Tbh I think this comes from girls being raised to not expect more from boys and also not taught to love themselves more as well. They don’t realize their worth and settle for less and then instead of moving onto something more healthy (or more fitting) they try to change their partner.
By no means does this apply to all men or all women. Just my experience…
