Jealous of your Capā€™n Crunch, @Runningfree. Havenā€™t bought any in many years.

I donā€™t get it often cause it tears up the roof of my mouth but I like it enough to endure sometimes :joy:
I didnā€™t know that about fruit loops!! So deceiving!!

Probably an unpopular opinion but I love grape nuts. Or frosted flakes

I guess if you think about it, a lot of cereal names are goofy. Capā€™n Crunch? Is that even a food?

I donā€™t eat a lot of cereal now (am celiac, there are GF cereals but they donā€™t appeal or are like candy). I did like grape nuts - stayed crunchy.

I have fond memories of those little packs of personal cereal. Do they still make them?
Mom would buy the healthy pack for camping trips (raisin bran, etc), but Grandma bought the sugar rush ones.
Fond memories!

Oh man I havenā€™t seen those little boxes since I was a kid. I remember the corn pops tasted like the box they came in lol

Growing up the the land of corn, soy beans and Monsanto I know cereal not a friendly choice but if Iā€™m not dipping buttered toast in steel oats Iā€™m a Cheerios fan. Love their new Oat Crunch Cherrios.
I layer frozen blueberries, sliced banana, plain Greek yogurt, my Cherrios and some whole milk. Itā€™s turns iced cold! :milk_glass::snowflake::revolving_hearts::hugs:

Oh those handheld boxes, weā€™d get them at camp too. Walk around munching on them or cut open to put milk on them.

My baby boy (now 13) was made on these. That and oranges was all I could face eating in the first trimester!

As a kid I loved frosted flakes or honey nuts. Iā€™ve gone off the sugary flavour cereal. Nowadays the plain special k are my favourite. Weetabix I like too. Sometimes, in the big international candy stores, I look at those weird cereal packets and wonder if americans really eat a bowl of rainbow coloured candy pieces with milk for breakfast :wink:

It is definitely not univeral, @WilliamBloke is right. We just donā€™t get it in the UK. We have jam sandwiches, and peanut butter (although not in schools as they are all nut free zones). At our small children parties it is ham, cheese, cheese spread or jam. Of course my favourite is a marmite sandwich!

They do still make the tiny variety boxes of cereal. Tiny bags now, also.

I never really had a favorite. Peanut Butter Capā€™n Crunch, Cocoa Pebbles (for the chocolate milk), Fruit Loops were up there as a kid. Also anything crunchy with fruit in it that pretended to be healthy even though it was loaded with sugar.

Donā€™t eat cereal now. I canā€™t remember buying a box of cereal as an adult.

I was also sold on those monster themed cereals because they had cool toys. Boo Berry, Count Chocula, Frankenberryā€¦I think thatā€™s what they were called.
