Welcome, glad you’re here! Looking forward to seeing you post

Checking in at 13.27 days. Feeling kinda down and lonely. But, I think that’s normal being alone for so many months due to quarantine. I’m going to force myself to do a few things I was putting off today. If I can’t be motivated, I’ll just need to push through the motions until motivation returns. Looking forward to therapy on Friday.

That is awesome, @M-be-free49. I just adopted a dog, and I know that she can help me stay busy with lots of walks. Appreciate sharing this journey with you and @WCan.

I think that’s pretty normal at first, but I’ll ask the others who are farther along the sobriety journey to confirm that! I had lots of awake time last night too…

Oh yeah not being able to sleep was very normal for me. Or waking up alot feeling fatigued and hungover, it got better around that 60 to 80 day Mark

Well, Asher, it seems like we might have a ways to go! :joy: The fitful sleeps will pay off, in time. As they say all over this forum, one day at a time - that’s all we gotta do…

Have you ever done a bodyscan? If so, then I recommend doing that

Oh yeah I hear yah :frowning: it sucked. I could exercise all day and still not be able to sleep. I’d stay up to 2 in the morning and have to be up for 5. It’s really frustrating, just try to lay down about a hour before your normal bedtime, take a nice bubble bath to get you nice and relaxed… sometimes sleep meditation would help too. It will get better I sleep like a champ now

What’s a bodyscan?

It’s a form of meditation. It’s about focusing on your breathing a first and then start focusing on different parts of your body, starting at the left foot and leg, then the right foot and leg, then the body, than the arms, than the head, but in much smaller steps. It really helps me getting to sleep
