Congrats on triple digits Rob! Your screen name is very fitting.
1 day done! and now we get to do another sober day. Hope your day is better than yesterday and you give yourself some much deserved self-love.
That’s very cool! I know when I started telling people it was a little weird at first, but now that everyone knows it’s a non issue. It’s just how this girl rolls, lol!
Yes! one day at a time
Happy to be on day 12! Everyone here is so inspiring in their own way…even if they’ve “lost” their way for a bit! Thank you!!!
Dude! Congrats on triple digits man, well done!
today I’m 49 and no the bike only gives me a sore bum but I’m getting used to it
cheers bud.
Thanks for the compliment, this was last year July at the beginning of my recovery.
Alcohol ruined my life, it’s taken too much from me I won’t let it take anything else. Ever!
Blessings and sobriety!
Triple Digits, that’s so friggin awesome!!!
We must eat Cake!
Here’s to a fantabulous sober day, today and always. Let’s slay that dragon my friend.
Blessings and sobriety!
Hey, forget that book! . It’s up to them to make you feel welcome and care how you feel and not for you to provide the entertainment for strangers.
You did well and, of course the cider would not have helped as a tactic. Even the biggest extroverts would feel awkward in the midst of what sounds like a clique. OK, they may be all the moms on the street but the world is bigger than your street. There’s no rule to say you have to be one of the “Moms for Mormons” just because of where you live.
Remember you are fine just as you are and you do not have to adapt for anyone.
Thank you, BTW I’m not one to get political but All Lives Matter, now can we slay that dragon together
Lol, Conor; eejit!
Day 9 complete, and at half past I’m an hour into double digit day 10! It doesn’t feel like it has been this long, I’ve had no cravings yesterday or today. I finished the film I was struggling to get through yesterday. I slept better last night, awoke bright and early this morning at 4:30, fed the cats, tried to go back to sleep, couldn’t, so spent a few hours on here, then went for a walk for over an hour down by the river, the sun was shining, but there was a nice cool breeze, it was so refreshing. I’ve since spent most of the afternoon on here because it just feels so healthy for my mind, and the thread for ‘then and now’ where people with over a year of sobriety are sharing their stories, is really inspiring, so I bookmarked that earlier and plan to keep returning to it. I think you’re all amazing, happy sober Sunday!
