Day 295.7
Got a huuuge craving yesterday which hardly ever happens. We had this “date night” scheduled where the gym watches our kid for 3 hours so we can go for a date. Well, we spent the first hour of our date arguing in the car. I kept wanting a drink. But he got out of the car and I sat in there taking deep breaths. I became aware of my thoughts. I realize it’s a trigger for me when my expectations vs. reality dont mix. It’s also a trigger when I am in a bad mood but I feel like I should be happy and then think a drink will make me feel better (as we know this doesn’t work). Long story short, I settled for a deep fried brownie with ice cream for dessert. My mood lifted by the end of the night. We took my daughter to this arcade after our date. She had a blast. I went to bed and my best friend who passed away visited me in my dream last night! I held her in my arms and was filled with so much love for her. Then in my dream she showed me and our mutual friend her diary and it had all these passages of how much she loves us. I woke up this morning and life felt a whole lot less heavy today. First thing my kid said this morning was “That was a fuuun place last night!” Haha. No hang over, no depression, no bar tab, no regret!! Today and last night would be a completely different story had I drank. Thank heavens.

Day 287, turned out to be a beautiful Sunday, absolutely happy with the weather couldn’t be any better. Found some slick spots to camp out and some new spots I want to utilize for meditation one of these evenings coming up. Feeling great and even if the day wasn’t the best its a whole hell of a lot better not handling the day while being hungover. Hope everyone enjoys there Sunday

Day 1 sober again. Been away for a while and thanks for messages I missed especially from @Beforemy30s / currently reading Quit like a woman and it’s AMAZING. I wish pubs would stop running out of 0.5% beers it’s making it harder to ask for the sober option. And having a partner who loves drinking also does that!
