Checking in daily to maintain focus #31 (Part 2)

Yes, the right thing will come at the right time :hugs: What we are looking for is pretty niche so it will likely take a while. Just got to see how things unfold. Patience!

Holy shit! That same thing happened. My spare battery was in my purse which was against my leg when it blew up while I was driving. It burned through my purse and my pants. I was patting out the fire while trying to pull over to the side of the highway. Scared the crap out of me. Thankfully only a burn on my thigh.

Spare cell phone batteries? Or power banks? What’s the lesson here? Don’t keep them close to the skin or what?

Mine was a spare battery for my vape. I no longer carry any spares with me.

Day 39. Trying to explain what it feels like.

Went out to watch the football this evening. These are the types of nights I would go absolutely mental or completely avoid because I was scared of what I might do! I’ve been in hiding for a few years and everytime I’m let loose I end up on the pavement.

So, probably about 10 of us altogether in the pub and I’m the only one not drinking. At first it was a bit awkward, I’m a bit uptight and watching them sink the drink is playing on my mind.

Then after a while… I actually started enjoying myself, shouting, talking and laughing. Couple of times I had tears in my eyes with laughter. An enjoyable few hours.

Now home, safe and reflecting, I feel proud of myself. Knowing tomorrow is going to be a good day.

My former self would still be there. Slurring, stumbling, smoking. I would either go to work drunk in the morning or not go at all.

I’m feeling like I’ve turned a corner and no longer feel trapped. I’ve not achieved all this in the past 39 days though. Its been a long and bumpy road.

Anyone struggling, stick at it.

386 days. In an oddly comfortable space the past few days despite the goings on in life. Am going to ride the feelings for as long as I can staying in the moment and moving onto the next when necessary. Way too much going on here, that I had to catch up on, to congratulate and comment but catching up was my pleasure.
