Back to day one for me, I decided to drink last night. I’m not mad or disappointed in myself though, because it was the first real attempt to get sober and I made it to 5 days. I woke up feeling crappy and was easy on myself, and now I have no desire to drink again. I missed the clear feeling that I’d had the 5 previous mornings, and I’m looking forward to it tomorrow. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year’s Eve. I’m at work for another couple hours, and then it’s home to watch a movie and eat snacks with my family until midnight.
Day 525
If I was a seed, I spent my whole life blowing in the wind.
Sobriety is the soil that finally planted me.
2020 I began to grow roots.
2021 I peeped my head out of the ground.
2022 I will reach for the sky!
I’m excited about the blossoms that will bloom and the fruit I shall bear.
But I also know that the joy and the fun is in the journey.

Day 11 check in. I was invited to a NYE party but made the decision to stay home. I would have been too tempted to have a drink. It’s currently 10:15 pm and I’m home watching a movie instead. I’ve almost made it through the holiday season so I hope things start to get a little easier. Happy new years everyone!
Coffee. Just another work day up ahead, albeit following a very short night. I’m sober and clean. 2022 Is not going to change that. Let’s make this year at least as good as we all can friends. And maybe a little bit better even. Making it clean and sober will help us all loads with that. Happy New Year from Amsterdam.
I wanna wish you all a happy new year! My to go to for 2022 is the serenity prayer…It works for everone and every situation expecially in Covid years like the last ones. I hope 2022 is a better one. It must be: I’m going to get married in it
