Day 12. Taking care of my parents parents for a while. I feel blessed to do it. They are now old and sick and this is helping me to overcome selfishness: one of roots of addiction

Checking in 2 years and a day.
Man that feels good.
We went to the beach for lunch. We sat inside. Wait time outside on the beach was 30 minutes.
The next couple coming in said. ā Iām glad weāre sitting inside or we would have had to wait 30 minutes for a drink.ā 
. That use to be me!!
Iām so happy I donāt have to do that anymore.
Iām free!!

Day 5
Doing my best to live in the moment right now. Getting slightly aggitated right now. Thereās always noise everywhere I go. Even at home. My husband must be deaf I swear lol hes 47 and has worked construction all his life, so Iām sure heās lost some hearing Anyway, as I was walking in the freezing cold weather to the store I saw these absolutely gorgeous trees! Like I couldāve stared at them for hoursā¦
When I used to use I would never notice these thingsā¦ but now I do and this is actually one of the things I really love about recovery. It makes life interesting and beautiful
