Today didn’t turn out as I’d liked 
It was gorgeous and I did go out this afternoon, but I wanted to do so much more when school got out. Instead, I decided to go pick up my daughter’s things from her grandma’s (where her dad was) before anything else. We got stuck talking for over an hour, standing the whole time in her smoke filled house 
By the time we left, I couldn’t breathe, felt exhausted, and it was almost time for dinner. I wish we’d gone there last so we could’ve enjoyed the day together since we won’t have one together until Monday 
But they did offer to take her this weekend to see her cousins she hasn’t seen in forever, so that’s nice. Their father (her dad’s bro) went to prison for strong arm robbery 10 years ago. He got 30-life, but has behaved (shockingly) and is being released next month. He’s only 34 (used to hang with my bro), so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s grown.
On the other hand, I found out more about the ex. He mugged a couple and beat them up 
The scummiest of the bags. Not really surprised, but kinda surprised. Went downhill real fast. He can go rot far away from his daughter. And in the words he wrote when he got kicked out of drug court last year, ‘‘It’s for the best’’
