Checking in. I mostly check in for thc but here are all my days in the areas of my recovery Alcohol 2307, nicotine 1674, meth 3040, self harm 3141, P 219, MO 12, THC 49. The struggle is real but I’m working on them one day at a time. I started my clear liquid diet…I had coffee, broth, and pineapple jello for breakfast. I’ve got some apple juice and ginger ale to help me get through the drops in my blood sugar. This is my first time ever doing any kind of fast. I guess it’s a good thing even though mine is for medical purposes and not spiritual…..taking it easy today. I’m feeling good about tomorrow’s procedure. As part of my recovery, I told myself that I’d stay up to date with my health screenings and this is the only one I lack. I hope everyone has a great day.
Good morning TS friends. Checking in on Day 18. Got a lot of posts to catch up on this morning. I finally realized I gotta write out my check in before I catch up cause I will inevitably become sidetracked if I catch up first. Strange but true lol

@Kev2 Happy happy happy happy happy birthdays! Nearly 5 years is amazing and many to come Im sure!
@Mischa84 Definitely sounds like you had a lot going on this weekend all while you’re continuing to grieve dear Luna. It is natural to feel as though you’re constantly keeping the cloud pushed away. I love the last part where you said the run does that for you. I love that!
@Dustysprungfield This is exactly how my ol man approaches his recovery. It’s more of a I don’t have time for the bs or knowing he will just be annoyed with himself. Each one of us is different in our approach but it’s all good. Results are results
@Tragicfarinelli 620!!! Amazing. I actually won a lottery with that number way back in the day lol. I must see that movie. I loved the OG version but this looked fantastic! Have a great time.
@Just_Laura Luckily here in Ohio the U-Haul when i worked with them (they are franchise) refused to rent anything under 18 and nothing with an engine under 21. This whole thing has my mind blown. I mentioned it to my other half who used to have a U-Haul store and he said ny specifically is careless in their operating laws so he is not surprised to hear this. Just bonkers.
@Leveller Beautiful weather is always refreshing. We are entering my favorite season here so I’m feeling your vibe
@Mno I absolutely love the pic. Looks like a fantastic endless road.
@TS66 Not too much longer! I hope you get some rest.
@Amelie sounds like a perfect day. Love from a fellow math nerd. More with patterns though lol
@sober_ken I am so glad you didn’t change your pic with your handle lol 66 is amazing. Keep on keeping on my man ![]()

Is that 4 months?! Congratulations on ur 120 days!!! Great work my friend ![]()
@mtrav0040 I do know the importance of having friends especially when you are going through a rough time. Are you able to only hang with the friend group that doesn’t smoke? We do change up our circle of friends during sobriety as we do need to put our sobriety first. If you put it off till after the divorce goes through or you start feeling better about it then something else may come along. From what I’m reading, you still have a group of friends with whom you can connect with sober. You also have the possibility to meet new friends in your sober journey. Keep up the amazing work – hope you enjoy your yoga session this morning ![]()
@zendoe Well done with your 1 week! Very smart to be prepared for the upcoming feelings. I find that practicing gratitude and reciting positive affirmations help keep me in a positive mood.
@kev2 Glad to hear that you had such a wonderful sober birthday!
So true that recovery is a wild ride – keep leading the way

@butterflymoonwoman OH I love the response you got from your message. I totally agree that we all have a different way and time line to process information / feelings. Grateful that you did get it all out and he was receptive

@jms19 12 days is amazing. You will be in the triple digits soon enough – just focus on the day at hand. It is wild how your recovery allows the days to just stack up and makes our sober muscles stronger each day. Join us on the 100 day SOBER challenge! thread.
@MooseTracks 1100 days!
Your morning was a doozy… Grateful things worked out and I hope you take time to find that calmness within. Have a fabulous sober day ![]()
@mxelle Much love Mel! We are here for you – you don’t have to work on surviving all by yourself ![]()
@cr84 Totally easy to get side tracked. When able I try to write out my responses with my check in notepad or word… it helps keep me focused and allows me to step away from a check in if something else comes up. YES – the fall / spooky season is a coming – loving it ![]()
@ladybug1974 Whoohoo – you are doing awesome work

Day 1073
Today I got a belated birthday gift from a dear coworker, I had to control myself to not cry:
She suffers from anxiety as well and tought me to speak openly about the stuff I struggle with.
I’m proud to know her
Edit: I now realize that people see me and that I do make a difference. I know many of us fight with the thought about how “insignificant” we think we are. Many of us say “I don’t matter, it would not make a difference if I’d be gone”.
It does make a difference!
You’re right in that I’m not comfortable but it is familiar and that is somehow simpler than the unfamiliarity or awkwardness of trying to connect with people who aren’t emotionally present. It would amount to me sitting around while they get their buzz on. Thankfully, I only meet up with my college friends once or twice a year. Plenty of time to get a plan together for next time.
I guess I have always felt that my vices aren’t hurting anyone but they are hurting me and my relationships as a result.
Checking in with 519 days sober. Still taking it one day at a time and am surprised how the days are stacking up.
Husband still gets blackout drunk several nights a week. He’s genuinely not happy with drinking but unwilling to face those uncomfortable feelings and withdrawls.
Hoping he gives sobriety a try one of these days. But until then I’m enjoying my sobriety and my kids, and him when he’s not drinking.
Checking in on day 22!
@ladybug1974 120 days is amazing! Keep up the fantastic work 1/3 of the year! :muscle
@mxelle WE recover together. We are here surviving together. I promise it’s much better than isolation. I have learned that many times the hard way. Sending light and strength
@JazzyS It definitely seems like a lot of us had a rough night sleeping. Hopefully the fall breeze rolling in will help.
@Sabrina80 that is absolutely adorable. I would have had a hard time not crying as well. 1073 and counting. Happy belated birthday. :balloon
@Vanessa8 It takes a certain strength and love to choose sobriety in that situation. 519 days is no small task
@Jonachav123 3 weeks in and more to come. Great work ![]()
Mid day check in. Just a slower day so I’m enjoying the quiet and inspiring atmosphere of this community ![]()
ALL
Checking in
Today was a regular day off! I did my regular stuff on a Monday, with shitty weather. No pool time today!
Tomorrow the weather forecast is really bad, with thunder storms and a big drop in temperatures. I have a doctors appointment in the morning, and once I’m done with that, I’ll do home office! I’ll save 90KM of commute!
This afternoon I took a bubble bath (
), and now it’s gonna be some TV, and off to bed! ![]()
