Check-in day 103 (second evening check-in) Attended doctor’s appointment today and had nice talk with my doctor, I showed my new project which I done when i was sober in the last 3 months, He said he so proud of me. Also he said he have some plans for making a therapy app and i said ok we can discuss. I still not started to continue my course it’s really long now.
Consistency over perfection I need to remind myself.
But i made a new resume today which is sober resume.

Good morning friends, day 74. Ready for a cold day at WDW with the grandkids. They are being normal 6 and 4 yr old monkeys… Yesterday got caught in some freezing rain. That was fun.

Today should be sunny.

Have a great day.

Im up early. I went to sleep early. I was tired.

The crew will be here in a couple of hours. We have to offload this gear.

202 crap traps. Then we have one more load to get today.
Everyone was in a pretty good mood yesterday. Things went smoother a hand short. Just like I thought it would. Lazy guy wont be missed.

Something that I hate about this job is all the employee backstabbing bullshit that takes place. Its been a long time since Ive worked in an environment like this.

People that tell the boss everything. They only tell the boss their side of it.

They bait you to get you to talk. Then they tell the boss everything you said.

When Cap gave me a ride. He knew some things I said that was a private conversation with the block guy.

He is thinking about quitting. Im pretty sure its part of why we are stacking out.

Then we have the short crab guy. Not talented enough to look good on his own, so he has to try and score points by backstabbing coworkers. Ive been telling him bullshit just to see what happens.

Just do your job.

I feel good. Im hangover free. My judgement isnt clouded. My work speaks for itself. I live in the truth. And I dont need to lie about anything. These are my favorites gifts of recovery.

Have an awesome sober day!

Good afternoon, guys. We go again!

Day 21 AF

Those of you with the long streaks - long may they continue.

Those of you picking back up - may you find your forever streak.

Keeping it brief because I’ve got some endorphins to find. :eyes: Today is a good day. We’ve got this. :flexed_biceps:

Good morning, everyone! Checking in on Day 3. I had a good talk with my partner last night about what happened on Friday, he asked me the question ā€œso what’s your plan?ā€ Good question. I need one, and that’s why I’m going to work on now. He also asked me what I would do if the roles were reversed, which is another good question. I’m really looking forward to restarting therapy next week (on the wait list for this week), still feeling a bit of that post drinking anxiety but it’s calming.

I hope everyone has a good day, thank you for the support and rewelcoming me.

Day 745 AF,

Back on night shifts 7pm-7am while weather is sticking around. So some long nights. Workout today is done and food is all prepped to keep me on track.

It’ll be sleep, and recovery for proper fat lost that concerns me most during this phase. I’m on call this coming weekend also so I suspect there is a good chance this shift may go straight through the weekend… let’s hope there is a day off in there somewhere.

Regardless, feel great today, so I’ll take that ODAAT!

That’s always best imo. The harder you look, the harder it is to find. Just let whatever happens, happen. :+1:t2:

Checking in

Today is my day off, this morning it was raining, in fact it hasn’t stopped all day. I didn’t feel like walking in the rain, so I changed my plans, and did a punch bag workout + a 20-min tabata. Today I can feel the catching up on the plank challenge!

My plan was to go and see my mum for a coffee, but she finally cancelled. So I’ve spent the afternoon doing my cooking for this week. Now I’ll probably do some painting on my Buddha, it’s too early to turn the TV on. When my TV doesn’t work (like 2 days ago) I feel stressed, but on the other hand I don’t like to watch TV for hours neither. Weird me!

Thanks for sharing! This is actually the first time I’ve chosen to read that post, I didn’t think I needed a formal plan but clearly I do.

Hey there everyone! I truly hope everyone is well. The events of the world have me a bit rattled, but I also know the last thing I need to do is use. I don’t even know what to say to some of you I hold so dear. I am scared I am angry and I am also at a loss. I plan to truly meditate on this. Also another big creative day for us. I gotta let this negative energy out of me. It’s like a lump in my throat. Light & Love ALL

Day 34. My grandpa passed away yesterday morning. It’s been difficult, my partner hasn’t helped. Since I quit drinking, I don’t generally have the desire to go do activities past like 6 pm if it’s not just going out to eat. Obviously if it was an event or something sure, but just me and him, not really. We ended up getting into an argument the night before my grandpa passed where he mocked me for saying my grandpa is dieing (another reason why I didn’t want to go bowling) & told me he has been dieing for a week.

Yes. He had been actively dieing. Running on 10% of his body. However that day his pulse was thready and he was having trouble breathing. Next morning he passed. I am completely disgusted by my husband. He isn’t a great partner emotionally, he has a lot of horrid tendencies. I ended up leaving the house after the argument and almost had a fuck it moment, sitting outside of a bar. But didn’t cave. Missing my grandpa today & not allowing my husbands constant bull to interfere with grief. He’s not a 100% bad person, I am just completely astounded and disgusted . I am grateful for things he does do, but I know I deserve a lot more and better.

Sorry for your loss, and the additional pain caused by your husband’s behaviour. I hope he’s planning something special for you today .. even if he can only do something small that’s thoughtful for you. I’m so glad to hear you didn’t cave in.

Monday lunch check-in.
10/10s across the board today so far.

-Perfect work morning, and I’m still in the best place of my 19-year career.

-Perfect morning routine and daycare drop with my daughter this morning.

-Fridge full of leftovers, so no cooking stress today.

-My wife is in an awesome mood today, which makes everything better and infinitely easier.

Honestly, my self-sabotage tendency has been spinning its wheels the last 3 hours trying to make me unhappy about something, but I refuse to let it get any hold, and I’m going to keep my foot on the accelerator and enjoy the ride for the rest of the day.

Life is beautiful, and I hope you find and hold some happiness today too.
