Checking in daily to maintain focus #87

@s_unrelax great to hear that you are using your coping skills and not giving into the urges when they arise :hugs:. You are doing a wonderful job :flexed_biceps:t4:

@Louloubelle thanks love. I had a wonderful time in the pool. The water really is so healing :folded_hands:t4:

@Violagirl awe love I’m so sorry. You are doing some great work in processing it and staying sober. Sometimes it’s helpful to talk it out or just vent and share the frustration even when there is no fixing things. Impressive strength my friend. Much love to you :people_hugging::two_hearts:

@Marieke love those pics and your space is turning out beautifully . Love what your dad said too :heart_exclamation:

@Raspberry love that you got sleep. I totally know the fatigue you feel after getting sleep after a long time. Hope the coffee helps. Yes do keep my PM in mind. We just keep going ODAAT. :two_hearts::people_hugging:

@Scorpn yippee on your 2 weeks. Hopefully it does go quick and smooth and you are able to get sleep soon :folded_hands:t4::hugs:

@DanielaJ much love friend. Thank you. It was heavenly being back in the water. So grateful that I went :hugs:.

@Ofmiceandroach great to see you posting. Well done on paying off and closing that cc! That is a huge achievement and you should be super proud of yourself. 13+ months of sobriety is amazing work too…keep putting in the work - it’s benefits are endless :hugs:

Huge congratulations :tada: :tada:. 2 weeks is awesome. It really is day by day for some time. Can be that way for the first year. Recovery is so much more than just not drinking. Keep putting in the work. It does get easier:hugs:

@CueBall8n9 whoohoo  3 weeks is awesome! Hope the heat let’s up soon. We are looking forward to a dip in the temp tomorrow. Hopefully the humidity goes too lol. Luckily it’s almost fall and hopefully we will get some good autumn days soon :maple_leaf:

Sending love and hugs. You can handle it. We are here if you need us :hugs:

@Jules000 I know sometimes that voice does dry louder when you say no. Like it’s throwing a tantrum. Instead of saying no maybe just focus on something else and then something else after that in an effort to ignore it and keep yourself busy with other conversations/ activities. We are here if you need to chat. A walk or some puzzling may be good too. Just don’t entertain those lies that voice is trying to tell. :people_hugging::people_hugging:

Thursday check in…

I woke up and tried to stay in bed as I didn’t sleep much last night. Realized that it was Thursday and luckily was able to get ready and rush out the door in time to make all my deliveries and still get to the pool on time.

Had a wonderful time at the pool and gym. Feeling drained now so taking a time out before work. My nose won’t stop running…it’s getting to be a bit annoying. Going to do a ginger shot soon. Hopefully that will help. Gonna attempt a nap first as my head is starting to pound.

The heat is slowly lifting. We are out of the heat advisory but it’s still pretty nasty. Fingers crossed that this will pass soon.

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day…sending you all so much love

Checking in

I’m not in a good space lately, I’ve tried to convince and fool myself, but I’m not ok.
I can’t find my motivation at work, and that’s a first one. I do my 8 hours sharp and can’t wait to go home. I’m also failing at sobriety, in fact I have reset my counter.
I am tired and fed up of myself.
This afternoon I did get my ass to the gym, that helped to lift my mood. After that I went for the first time in months to my local in person AA meeting. This phase too shall pass I guess…

I hope this phase passes sooner than later for you, @Jesile … it really sucks, feeling that way.

I’m sorry you had to reset your timer; glad you’re back here to report and seek support.

If the meetings were a regular part of your recovery months ago, maybe the meetings will help you to stabilize.

I’m glad you’re still rowing the boat, rather than drifting.

Wishing you the best!
