Checking in daily to maintain focus #9

Checking in Day 1090 :blush::pray:

How are you all handling the Corona crisis in the World :earth_americas: This sure would be a reason for me to just stay inside and turn to boose but now I have a different life style… I find this scary though!

Wow @Nvbookthief congratulations on 90 days you have done so well.

Is it something minute clinic can look at? They’re around $70 I think.

Ok… have got to check in again because I finally have great news and I’m so excited I can barely stand it. Ahhhhhhh.

So some of you might remember I was looking for a new apartment to get out of this awful “divorce hut” I’m living in. I found a great building and posted pics, but after waiting and waiting a unit with the view I wanted just wasn’t opening up. Then summer rent surges started in. Grrrrr

So the other day I checked out a bomb building in the middle of uptown. I’m in love. I don’t have great pics, this isn’t my actual unit, I’ll be up higher. I was officially approved and gave my deposit today. I could cry I’m so happy. I was so anxious. Here are some pics. I move in April 20th aaahhhhhhhh

It’s so nice to be excited about something. My cheeks hurt from smiling today. Plus, it’s the first time in over 20 years I didn’t have a husband dictating where we live. Mind you with MY money.

Any way you can get to your local government office and see if there are benefits that you qualify for that could help you through the unemployed, uninsured period?

Dunno where you’re from or how your state works. My spouse does eligibility benefits. I’ll ask her. In Minnesota theres medical assistance which is federal and then mnsure which is through the state. I would think it couldn’t hurt to speak with your local public health and human services office and see. The system should be similar-ish.

Day 81
I am starting to analyse my life. I realise my whole life, I have either been struggling with alcohol, and feeling kind of worthless, or sober, but in an all comsuming codependant relationship (ie, pregnant or at home with a newborn, very naturally the most codependant time of ur life). I was also young, I guess. Now I am feeling more confident, worthwhile, able to look at my life rationally, I am wondering if my life is what I want. Of course, no changes for the first year. And while my youngest is in the lowest years of elementary school, maybe no changes either. But the next few years, as I get used to a new me, I will be observing my life, and thinking.
Bit heavy, that post.

Checking in mid day. So far, so good. Did some running around and some cleaning. Just keeping busy to keep my mind off of using. Its honestly just sickening how my mind will lie to me. Like I JUST came back from using for like 3-4 days and my mind had already forgotten how bad it was. Replaying that tape to the end is what I’m doing right now.
