Coping with withdrawals

I’m newly sober (again) I find when I stop drinking I become just dead tired and always with a splitting headache. How long do your symptoms last and how donyou cope with them x

I’m there right now, too. I’m trying to take care of myself by eating well and drinking a lot of water, so my electrolytes aren’t out of whack. The headaches are awful. I’m using ice packs and staying away from otc painkillers for now.

Also Gatorade, close to water but has electrolytes

I read somewhere that potassium helps. So bananas or avocados???

I agree with everyone above. A big one for me was keeping distracted. I played hours upon hours of video games, binge watched TV shows like no other and watched funny YouTube videos until my sides split. It feels like forever but it will pass in no time. Goodluck to you

My biggest problem is waking up at night, weird, vivid dreams and sweating during the night. This is day three and I know this will get better. I suppose no matter what the symptoms time is the healer.
