Crocheters, Knitters, Crafters, and the like 2020 to present

Hey! Glad you found it. What are you making with yarn?

I’m crocheting a granny square blanket with regular wool sock yarn. Only a few more squares to go before I can start stitching everything together. After that I have an another unfinished crochet project (a pillowcase).

I started crocheting again last autumn after 20 years. Couldn’t believe I hadn’t done anything since highschool :grimacing::smile:

I’m working on a blanket too. But I’ve had these t-shirts for months that I need to finish turning into yarn.

Niiice! Do you have a plan for your t-shirt yarn?

Nothing specific yet, probably something like a mat, rug, or maybe a travel bag. I’m going to focus on making the yarn for now. It’s kind of a lot of work, but really nice to work with.

I have always been curious about this. How are you cutting it to have a continuous piece? Or do you tie it together?

It’s one piece.

Do you use the sleeves and collar as well, or just the boxy part?

I just use the boxy part.

Finally got two rows done for the week. Pink and green. Wish I had time for more.

Finished making t shirt yarn! I’ll be thinking about what to make with it while I work on the blanket.

Thanks! There is a color scheme. Can you see it? I purposely did not use gray.

I was cleaning out some closets and was going to throw away some old bed sheets… But then I had the thought “can I make this into yarn?”

I think I will give it a shot
