Yes, that’s the idea!

What pattern did you use? Did you block with spray starch?

Didn’t use product on it. Am considering following the instructions in the pattern for using Mod Podge but I’m not sure yet. And I’d have to acquire supplies.

I taught myself to knit (badly) a few years ago. Then, switched to crochet. Just hats, dish cloths and scarves. Great hobby. Now, I’m quilting. Love to learn new things.

That’s so cool! What’s a pocket shawl? I’m supposing it may have a pocket at one end, perhaps?

They are so cute! Bet they look great on the tree!

Thanks! I think the prototype does look sweet! Now I need more supplies!

Really, really lovely!!

Hat for my sober son. Blocking now. All it needs is a pom-pom.

So my husband got me some yarn and needles for Christmas and I am working on my very first project (since Home Economics class in the 1970s).

Lord did I get frustrated trying to find a good left handed beginners tutorial on YouTube. Eventually I was able to piece together tidbits from several videos and I am not sure if I am knitting left handed or right lol. Anyway…it is a fun past time and as a Grammie, it’s a skill I need to possess :grin:

I sense lots of scarfs in my future.

That scarf looks beautiful, @SassyRocks! Here’s a hat I made for my cousin last week. image|375x500
Your scarf and this hat make me wish I lived somewhere a bit cooler so I could accessorize!

Wow, that is a beautiful hat!! I know what you mean…no scarf needed here in Florida, USA. I am going to give the scarf to my grandson who lives up north in Minnesota.

Love the yarn, looks like you’re doing great. It took me weeks, two people and countless utube videos to get started.

I hear you! I was so frustrated until it ‘clicked’ (hmmm…sound familiar?). I had dabbled in knitting as a kid, so eventually my muscle memory returned to my fingers.
