Daily fitness check in šŸ’Ŗ (Part 1)

Yes! It’s the MyZone chest strap heart rate monitor. Originally got it through my previous CrossFit gym. Still doing CrossFit. :upside_down_face:

Hope you are feeling better!

When I was working regularly and being active I would hit 25-30 k every day. It was insane and did not phase me. I now try to set my goal at 7500 but tend to by pass that when I’m working. I work really hard to make sure I don’t go over 20k which sometimes means no walking the walk pad LOL.

These days I do feel it and make sure to massage my legs every night and also put my feet up to get the blood going in the opposite direction. I think your body will let you know what is too much for you.

It may take time to get back to where you were or maybe you’ll find that you switch up what you were doing and strengthen a different part of yourself. Find the movement that works for you (or several) and you’ll find that you are helping your body and your mind :hugs:

@JazzyS so im not alone in getting a bunch of steps. good to know. massage is a good idea, probably would help with flexibility too.

@spgand28 i like Snap, but it’s pricey. planet fitness is like mcdonald’s of gyms but they offer more equipment in my area. closest PF is about 30-40 min away, Snap is like 4 min away. Snap seems to have cleaner facilities though for sure and more gym-etiquette

10/13

  • 15 min of intra-set cardio
  • 6 sets of legs
  • 6 sets of chest
  • 4 sets of core
  • stretching at various points during the day

been doing orange juice as my training carbs, that has been working great… sipping on it throughout the workout

Hit my back and tricep workout today after a 2000m warmup on the rowing machine. I feel like I am finding some consistency even though my arms felt torched.

13k steps.

I can’t seem to break the 160lb mark. I keep waffling between 161 and 163. I don’t seem to make the best choices when I’m home with my fridge on the weekends. Also, chocolate and coffee with cream and sugar are the last couple vices I have. I am contemplating not buying sugar when I run out. Future Sweettooth Mitch and Present Mindful Mitch are always at odds

Yesterday’s strength was power snatches and snatch grip deficit deadlifts. The workout of the day (WOD) had more power snatches. Power snatches and squat snatches are my least favorite movement. It’s a technical, full body movement. It doesn’t help that my shoulder issue limits my ability to snatch heavier. However, being that I keep showing up to these snatch workouts and that I have always kept it at a light weight (never pushed myself), I’ve noticed that the patience has paid off. My shoulder isn’t better but it isn’t worse. And it feels good once it’s nice and warmed up. After being stuck at a 35lbs. power snatch for months, I’m up to a 50lbs. power snatch! :star_struck:

Also, I beat my 2024 calories.

That is all.

I did get a mile warm up run on the treadmill before my chest and bicep workout. Hit 15k steps.

I was comparing pictures between June and my last workout and I’m feeling positive About what I see. Gotta remember that the scale isn’t the only way to measure success.

:backhand_index_pointing_up:t3: Yep! I’m 5’2" and fluctuate beween 131-135 lbs. But my skinny clothes fit me again and my little baby abs are starting to bloom. :joy: I’m putting on a lot of lean muscle. At least that’s what it’s looking like in my progress pics.

I wish I had the fancy data you have. I just have to pinch my flubber to see my progress…but it’s pretty scientific.

Not really fancy data but I do love it. I think I became obsessed because, if I forget my chest strap heart rate monitor, it literally pisses me off. :joy: I NEED THE NUMBERS AND GRAPHS!

I’d imagine the instant feedback is super gratifying! I hear what you’re saying about the skinny clothes. I dusted off parts of the wardrobe that I hadn’t touched in a couple years.

Just wanted to share with u all my virtual Route 66 challenge medal that I just received!! This is 2280 miles of exercise covered over almost 2 years… walking, elliptical, bike, and weight lifting (which I used their conversion chart for). Im super proud of this medal! It definitly was more of a mental one than a physical one. Proof that I didnt give up on myself. Ive lost 35lb from my heaviest weight which is a huge plus! Cant wait to continue on with my health journey!

Normally Wednesdays are my rest days but my schedule got wonky and my sister will be dropping her dog off tomorrow. So I pushed through today to get a workout in :face_exhaling: and will take my rest day tomorrow instead. Betty gets excited when her doggy cousin stays with us so it will be a nice time to chill with these crazy dogs anyways. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
