Aw. Thanks. Yes my wife truly is happy for me. And even though she does drink every day we chatted yesterday about how without me drinking she’s probably drinking less. We made a pretty bad team.
Great to hear your health issues are starting to work out for you. And that your ultrasound came back clear. Being in pain sucks and is exhausting.
I wish I lived in Canada. My mother’s side of the family was from Canada. Maybe they could take me in. They had a big 300 acre farm in Sherbrooke Quebec. We would make the six hour drive up there every summer. Loved it! That was about 45-50 years ago though. Lost touch after all these years.

I’m grateful this morning I spent all my quiet time doing devotionals and reading post on TS and I haven’t had a chance to check the news or get on Twitter. Now it’s too late to get all pissed off at what’s happening in the world cuz I got to do my chores and get the dogs walked.

Today I am grateful that I found a sponsor that is willing to take me on. I am grateful for my husband for not leaving me when I deserved it. I’m grateful for my great relationship with his ex wife who is coming over tomorrow to celebrate the holidays with us and the kids. I’m grateful for the nesting owls in our barn that make me smile even on the worst days. I’m grateful for my cats who love me even when I’m crying. I’m grateful to have a comfortable home and a comfortable bed that I can fall into after a difficult day. I am grateful for my emerging connection to my higher power. I am grateful for another sober day.

right now I’m just grateful to be sober. it’s mentally hard today just finished a 10 hour shift and alcohol is always the way to wind down. got straight into a meeting, drinking loads of fizzy drink. Fighting the fight but sober, 2 hours then bed thank god.
Today I’m grateful for making it through a week long vacation at the beach without touching alcohol.
I’m grateful for going to bed sober one more day and knowing that I’ll feel great when I wake up.
I’m grateful for the support and knowledge everyone here has to offer.
And I’m grateful that tomorrow I will be 3 weeks sober.
Grateful to be alive and well enough. Greatful I have not binged on unhealthy food today. Grateful to be home with my family. Greatful I have the opportunity to go to the gym and an AA meeting tonight. Grateful that even though one of my old using associates messaged today i was able to share the message of recovery and ignore compliments and invitations to hangout, and to delete his number agan. Grateful that this type of ostracism of bad influences makes my recovery possible. Grateful for my life I am living today. Grateful I have work to go to tomorrow. Grateful even though my day wasn’t very productive and I am not that well rested, that I’m still willing, honest and open minded.
It’s crazy right. You don’t realise how much of a shadow was cast over your life and how much that shadow was a direct result of using and abusing alcohol. I’m so much happier now.
