Daily Gratitude, The Air Of Recovery #10

I am grateful that my daughter and her family live so close. I get to see my granddaughters often, and I think my daughter appreciates that I’m just a phone call away if she needs a break. I encourage her to call anytime. The kids are 2 years old and 5 months old. I jokingly call them my therapy babies. Everything is right with the world when they’re around.

Tonight I’m so incredibly grateful for:

Cracking into some boring tasks at work and making some progress.

Seeing the small changes that children go through as they grow to be surprised at who they become.

The helpfulness of neighbors in our small corner of the world.

The opportunities that I have to care for myself because of the collaboration with other parents and coaches.

Getting to coach baseball again and for formulating a better strategy for preparing the kids for a higher level of competition.

Having the clarity to see the importance of being present as a parent.

I am grateful I shared in my favourite meeting. It was good today.

I am grateful for this sunny day today. It was unusual warm. I needed it.

Coming to needs: I am grateful I decided to ask in a restaurant if I could use their toilet because honestly what is better than having that relief. Being really really thirsty and having cooooooooold sparkling water which directly hits your brain is like this. Ahhhh.

I’m grateful for sleeping through the night! I needed this so much and it makes a huge difference in my attitude and mood.

I’m grateful for a Sunday home. I’ve got no reason to leave the house. I can feel accomplished by making the next right decision, right here, right now.

I’m grateful that I’m feeling a little less pain from my surgery. I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to eat solids in the next few day.

I’m grateful for Baja gold salt, methylated b12 and D3K2. I really feel that this vitamin and mineral mix is helping me.

I’m grateful that through his experience I’ve added Greek yogurt to my morning meal. Gut health runs the body and this needs to be a continued focus of mine.

I’m grateful that today I have the mindset that health is wealth and only I control the market.

So am I, Eric! Sobriety anniversaries haven’t bothered me in years, but this April 7 approaching is messing with my serenity a little. And I’m grateful to know I have been through the anniversary squirrelies before and will get through them again this time.

  • I am grateful for two back to back high energy days in the gym.
  • I am grateful on these insanely cold days and nights that I was able to help my son replace the thermostat in his home with only one trip to the hardware store.
  • I am grateful to see an old friend returning to TS, and grateful that I can have concern for how another person is doing.
  • I am grateful to be nudged into the exercise of creating a post-retirement budget today.

Blessings are showering  on your house today.

Sunday gratitude. Time flies.

Today I’m grateful for my sweet little kitty feeling better, she had some kind of sneezing and a runny nose yesterday. Today all is well again.
I’m grateful for all my cats, those purring, fluffy, funny furballs :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:
I’m grateful for my big dog, this sweet cuddlebug :sparkling_heart:

I’m grateful for my seedlings and the outlook to harvest. I hope this season I get a harvest and not weather, weed and critters.

I’m grateful for my cozy home, my beautiful farm, the comfy bed in my bedroom, the ideas how to structure & organize things, my friends who are always there for me.
I’m grateful for therapy, it helped so much to process the horrible nightmare I had some days ago.

I’m grateful I proceed with doing necessary tasks. I’m grateful I work at my pace and do my best. I’m grateful nobody naggs or calls me lazy, may my ex rest in his own bullshittery. I’m grateful that I was unaware of what still lingers around deep down in my emotional potholes and that it reveals. I’m grateful to do more selfcare and let go.

I’m grateful for my life as it is :folded_hands:

There was a gentleman in a meeting and for many years I did not like him. I don’t think he liked me. We sat on opposite sides of the room, and that was perfectly fine with me. On days he missed meetings, I felt better.

Now, I was chairing the meeting last month and he came up to me and said, “Nice job chairing the meeting. You did a fantastic job.” I smiled back and said, “Thank you.”

And wouldn’t you know it? I like that guy now. And when it’s his turn to share? They are really interesting things he has to say.

Grateful, I can laugh at myself today. ODAAT
