Birds singing in my back garden :bird:

Having a clear out of old clothes, will take them to the clothes bank shortly :ok_hand:

The leak in my car not coming from the windscreen, will be a cheaper job to fix :automobile:

Time with my mum, she gets really confused recently, grateful I have patience and understanding :heart_hands:t3:

Home cooked dinners, there was once a time I’d have never been able to cook something from scratch, sober days are the absolute best :shallow_pan_of_food:

Wednesday gratitude.

Today I’m grateful for a deep tissue massage. I will feel it aching for the next 3 days and I feel so much better.
I’m grateful for cuddletimes with cats and dog :sparkling_heart:
I’m grateful it was warm and sunny today. My mood apprechiated it.
I’m grateful for hot showers, as many as I want to take.
I’m grateful for food in the freezer.
I’m grateful for trash pick up.
I’m grateful I threw out some books for tomorrow’s paper recycling pick up.
I’m grateful I did chores and put away things.
I’m grateful I stuck exactly to my grocery shopping list.

I’m grateful for all my tools to work through this annoying codependent mimimi.

I’m grateful I decluttered my desk from the bookpiles so I can go back to office work tomorrow.
I’m grateful putting books from boxes to shelfs proceeds slowly. Again: grateful I throw away books I will never read again or haven’t read in the last 20+ years (yes, I found two books I never read and for sure never will :joy:). Grateful I take the time I need to sort the books AND don’t get lost in reading. I need to size down my library.

I’m grateful for my life as it is, for how far I’ve come, for the peace I find at home, for feeling safe and secure.
I’m grateful I learned some self-discipline and refrain from starting new projects when I’m still in the middle of working up what I started last year. First things first, I vividly remember my suffering from the chaos I created in fall with the relocation of my townhouse household to the farm and starting to many reorganisation projects at once :see_no_evil_monkey: The remains still wait to be … errrr … properly organized, decluttered and put in place :see_no_evil_monkey::see_no_evil_monkey::see_no_evil_monkey: I swore I will bite myself in my finger if I start fumbling around on some new idea before this isn’t done!
I’m grateful just doing, a bit here and there, adds up :folded_hands:

Grateful for not having really anything to actually worry or stress about.
Grateful I have a safe and comfortable place to lay my head and rest.
Grateful for heat and hot showers.
Grateful for a job that I don’t hate going to.
Grateful for my vehicle. I know its been taken care of and I know it will last another 10 years with proper up keep. Still doesn’t feel real and honestly still pretty terrified of driving but I’m taking my time re learning driving and learning how to get everywhere. ( without the highway) It’s been very freeing driving to the beach and skatepark on the weekend and watching the sunrise.. I’m very very grateful the beach is 7 miles away! I thought about maybe trying to go 30 days in a row..

I often think about those mornings biking 14 miles to my alcohol and drug classes for probation.. sometimes with tears in my eyes from all the anxiety and things I had to do to not go to prison. Couldn’t even picture a car at the time.. I always day dreamed about not being on probation and even when I was in jail I dreamed of what my life could be after I was actually free and what’s crazy is that it’s exactly what I day dreamed in jail and even more.. I’m not saying its perfect.. There is no pink cloud because life happens and has happened..
Grateful for my friends, family , and everyone on here!
Grateful I got some basketball in today after work because Wednesday is my early day and I leave at 4 so there is more day light.
Grateful I still have a couple hours till I have to go to bed and all my chores and obligations/ goals are done. Maybe legos or guitar.
Grateful tomorrow is already Thursday and I want to make some cool plans for the weekend. I did buy a tent and sleeping bag last weekend so maybe I will camp somewhere cool or sleep under the stars in my yard. I’m surrounded by woods so really don’t have to go far..I never did real camping before just city camping because drugs were a priority and I didn’t want to work or pay rent. Will be cool to camp for a day or 2 and then come back to a house and regular life.
Grateful my flu is almost gone.. I still feel heavy in my chest and sometimes out of breath but overall I don’t have that really bad body ache type flu feeling anymore..
grateful to be able to share my gratitude with the community..
Grateful for life!!

I am grateful for my sobriety and that it has given me the ability to set boundaries and has lessoned my anxiety tremendously. I had to have two tough conversations with loved ones this week that in the past would have sent me straight to drinking. Being alcohol free I was able to express myself and it went WAY better than I would have imagined❤️

I am grateful that I have activities planned with both of my kids this week that we are all looking forward to.

I’m grateful I get to enjoy walking safely on the beach sand.
I’m grateful I get to see my hand doc today.
I’m grateful my wife can drive again. She never did before  but she can now.

I’m grateful all the changes rescheduling and cancellations of my schedule this week worked out for the best. I’m grateful I didn’t worry about them like I use to.
I’m grateful when I called my cardiologist to reschedule his nurse actually answered the phone and gave me a new appointment at my convenience in February. Usually we play telephone tag forever. But I didn’t worry about it this time.
I’m grateful Saturdays rescheduling was all done on my phone with ai or something and now I free Saturday on Gus’s 3 birthday party.

Thursday gratitude.

Today I’m grateful for therapy. I’m grateful I discussed my emotional struggles and felt more balanced afterwards.

I’m grateful for my lovely pets and the shopcat at my favourite garden center I visited today.

I’m grateful I can do as I please and heat with the A/C when I’m too exhausted to stock up on firewood. Grateful to respect my limits and listen to my body.

I’m grateful I proceeded with tidying today. It feels like a never ending story but I know it will soon feel and look much better.

I’m grateful for my washer/dryer and fluffy towels.

I’m grateful for a long talk with a friend. It’s so helpful that we remind each other to stay on track and use our tools to cope when life gets lifey and old patterns surface.

I’m grateful some things I’ve been pondering for a while get clearer.

I’m grateful some 1 year marks that cause emotional turmoil will soon be over.

I’m grateful it’s ok to feel exhausted just because. It has been a lot in the last years and sometimes it weighs heavy. I’m grateful this shall pass. Grateful for my toolbox and petlove galore.
