Daily Gratitude, The Air Of Recovery #10

Wednesday gratefulness :folded_hands:t4:

I am so very grateful for…

:saxophone: knowing this phase will pass. Longest stretch of not much sleep and still having to function daily.
:saxophone: Prepared for a mental breakdown before my physical one cause this is not sustainable
:saxophone: Coffee and tea to give me some comfort. Grateful I’m not reaching for anything stronger.
:saxophone:For my serenity and my quiet calm space
:saxophone: For getting out there to vote and hearing the polling station was super busy all day. Love hearing that! Grateful we have a voice and choose to use it.
:saxophone: My polling station changed back to my old location by my house so I got to see a lot of my old neighbors there.
:saxophone: Made a healthy high protein meal last night and it turned out surprisingly well. Grateful it met all my dietary requirements
:saxophone: Learning the body lymph system and how to effectively drain the fluids and help with inflammation. The order matters, the pressure matters, the direction of strokes matters. It’s very fascinating and interesting to see some results.
:saxophone: My Higher Power and my connection to Him
:saxophone: The happy cell jingle and a positive mindset
:saxophone: Family
:saxophone: TS sober crew
:saxophone: Holistic healing

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day… sending you all so much love

Wednesday gratitude.

Today I’m grateful for

  • A/C
  • sleeping when I need to, i’m exhausted
  • my lovely pets
  • cuddles galore
  • meds to keep summer depression at bay, in such heat it can get easily out of control spiraling. i’m cautious and take good care of me, i’m grateful i can contact my therapist and my shrink if i need support. i’m grateful there is no external or internal pressure to function anymore, I healed from this unhealthy belief and the codependent thinking that was a huge part of it.
  • i’m grateful i am able to live at my pace now, i still get enough done allthough my energy is very limited atm. without strains, triggers and my ex being an ignorant asshole i can be just me. and this is enough! i even get things done in this fucking heat. slowly, step by step, not much but it’s enough to proceed with what i want to get done :folded_hands: i’m grateful i’m free.
  • sleeping missi cat on my feet :sparkling_heart:
  • snoring dog
  • whatever the other 5 cats do, it’s fine, i hear no strange noises or sounds of mischief.i guess they sleep too.
  • series to rewatch, that’s so soothing
  • crocheting
  • this too shall pass
  • ODAAT

Today I’m thankful for:

Basketball camp and local coaches volunteering their time to give kids constructive outlets.

Living in a small community where it feels safe to let my boy ride his bike around town and foster his independence.

Getting to the gym last night

Veterinarians

Smiles from strangers while walking my dog on my lunch break.

Getting to help people see a vision for developing their properties in a way that respects nature.

I’m so fucking greatful I woke up too early this morning. It was still dark and there’s a marine layer out there. And I got to have coffee with Daisy and my meditation music. And then they switched to Alice. Looked around TS for a bit. Saw some great pics on my iPad while looking for coffee memes. Basked in the memories of those pics of all kinds. And thought I’m such a grateful lucky bastard and my life is good. No great!

Today I’m grateful for:

Pushing through this slump I feel I’m in since the weekend. Not sure if it’s menopausal (sorry guys if that’s TMI) or I’m coming down with something :see_no_evil_monkey:

Knowing that I need to act instead of letting things slide

That I took my 15 yr old out to lunch today even though it took every ounce of me to move my butt out and about. Went to Abbey Gardens too, grateful for the beautiful flowers there :tulip:

The dump run I did the other day

For seeing my friend at the weekend :two_hearts:

This community

@49er WOOT WOOT well done on your 1 week  :tada: Grateful your therapist is helping you through :hugs:

This made my heart smile! Thank you

 Thank goodness for that. Some days it is hard to remember this.
@Cocojanie13 :hugs: Hope whatever it is that it passes soon. It is yucky feeling off. Love that you went to the gardens today - any pics to share LOL — I see you did - beautiful! :hugs:

Thursday gratefulness
:footprints: I am so very grateful that I am up and moving about. Grateful that I can be called on to run an errand or help with a task
:footprints: I am so very grateful that my brother was available to help me last night. My tenants called yesterday with some plumbing issues and I could have taken care of it but with the lack of sleep I was starting to see double. We also had a few other items to take care of and I’m grateful we were able to tackle em at the same time
:footprints: I am so very grateful for my neighbors. Some great friendships I’ve made over the years. My next door neighbor allowed me to use their water as I needed to clean off the AC unit and my tenants have not turned on the water. My other neighbor lent me his hose to add onto mine as mine was not long enough.
:footprints: I am so very grateful that all the tasks were completed in less than 20 minutes. Grateful that I had dinner ready so that I did not loose too much time after work with this pitstop.
:footprints: I am so very grateful that my brother had an errand near my place so he had to follow me home so that kept me from making any unnecessary stops. My stupid addict mind was trying to make some great points last night and I’m grateful I did not fall for them.
:footprints: I am so very grateful for my HP and my meditation / prayer routines. I am working on getting better with them. I know I have His love and support guiding me through
:footprints: I am so very grateful for my family. Grateful that I did not miss my siblings call today. It feels like we have been rushed all week and it was good to properly connect today.
:footprints: I am so very grateful that my siblings are planning a kayak trip in a few weeks for my brother’s bday celebration. This is something I absolutely love to do and wish I could do weekly LOL but don’t trust my body to allow me to do the trip solo at the moment. No one else enjoys it like I do so not easy to get out on the water. I am very grateful that I will not let another year go by without some Kayak time in.
:footprints: I am so very grateful for where we are now (my brother and myself) as opposed to last year at this time. Grateful that I did move out when I did and we have repaired our relationship.
:footprints: I am so very grateful for this wonderful community and all of YOU.
:footprints: I am so very grateful to be grateful :hugs:

Wishing everyone a wonderful addiction free day - sending you all so much love

Today I’m grateful for:
~Being able to be a part of my ex’s families lives still. When I first got sober and saw clearly we were fundamentally uncompatible in a romantic relationship, I expected to lose them all and I’m grateful I didn’t.
~Great conversations
~Going into a few stores and leaving the two I didn’t intend to get anything at with nothing and only what I intended to buy at the other two
~Finding a stone paper journal locally, that was an added bonus
~Witnessing a beautiful sunset
~Pulling over for a few minutes to enjoy it
~No alarm today & sleeping in
~Marlow sleeping on me all night
~Getting my iron infusion today
~The Mr. insisting on driving me to it
~Accepting help in my life today
~You!! Yes, you!

I am grateful I went to the metalworking company and made an appointment in one week. He forgot and I doubt that he’ll show up but there is still hope.
I am grateful I didn’t open my laptop today.
