Wednesday gratitude.
Today I’m grateful I took it easy. I’m grateful for a good sleep but the nightmares drained me. I’m grateful I got going on as usual, my morning routine wakes me up at some point, until then I’m on autopilot resp. zombie mode. I’m grateful nobody cares, my pets are ok with zombie mode.
I’m grateful for tea in abundance, for food in the fridge, for showers, washers, all modern amenities. Special thanks to the A/C, without it I would have to make jam at night to air and cool the house. Gone are those straining days, I worked 5 hours in the kitchen today morning until noon and produced summer in glasses. Without sweating, in comfortable temperature, fully focused on what I did. What a difference. I’m grateful I decided to install the A/C ![]()
I’m grateful for a long call with an old friend. It’s always nice to catch up.
I’m grateful the dog’s social behaviour gets markedly better since the last training. It makes me happy that the neighbours notice it and praised him! He is a good boy to others now, mostly
I’m grateful we cleared this hurdle, now it’s constant training to reinforce the good behaviour.
I’m grateful for Missi cuddles and purring, sweet fluffball.
I’m grateful the red furball is so comfy, he loves the deckchair.
I’m grateful we all love the tempered livingroom to laze around.
I’m grateful I can live at my pace and don’t give a fuck about weeding and mowing in this heat. I will catch up when I catch up and if not I will edit my work processes next year. This year I learn and experiment.
I’m grateful for my life as it is. ODAAT ![]()

- my taxes, which keep the roads safe where I drive my car (among other things)

-

-
For this day. Just for today.

Thursday gratitude.
It’s not even summer solstice and I’m done with summer
This fucking heat is unbearable and I feel my usual summer depression creeping in.
So I’m grateful for:
- morning walks with the dog, everything I accomplish in the morning. mornings.
- naps. I’m exhausted, I fall asleep, I wake up, I try to do things, I get exhausted. Repeat for the next 3 months. I’m grateful no fucking ignorant loveless drunken husband gets on my nerves anymore and makes me feel bad about needing rest and sleep. May he rot in hell, me is furious today because of heat triggered emotional upheavals, fucking summer depression.
- This too will pass.
- Had a lovely idea to make giveaways for my sister’s wedding, she is delighted and I’m happy.
- Catdcuddles and purring
- Dogsnuggles and happy slobbering
- The aircondition. Oh my God I’m so grateful for the tempered livingroom/kitchen where I spend most of the day
I don’t need it much, just a bit for half an hour now and then to take the edge off and keep the temperature at comfort level. I’m grateful for my decision to install it
*hugs to self - Modern amenities, I for sure don’t miss the good old days in many facets
- My blankie. Can’t sleep without it.
- My comfy couch
- That I cut myself some slack for being off track today, such days happen.
- Saying above I’m grateful for ODAAT
Good night
