:tulip: Being at work today and making money to support my family
:tulip: Working at the group home Im currently in. Hopefully it will remain that way.
:tulip: My families good health
:tulip: God and prayer. That I never feel alone.
:tulip: My husband. He is all for changing up his diet to support me in my lifestyle changes
:tulip: Honesty. Being honest and open with my husband has been a game changer. I feel closer to him. Im sharing things with him that I may have kept to myself (for example, telling him that Ive joined ED support groups)

Saturday evening gratitude.

Today I’m especially grateful for my pets. For Missi cat always sleeping on me, when I hit the couch she comes and snuggles up :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: For Schimanski demanding to be petted and cuddled all day, on every piece of furniture in comfortable cuddle-hight for me :sparkling_heart: For my big big dog who thinks he is a lap dog and sleeps on the reading room sofa, putting his big head on my leg and snorring
We are a family with one human, 2 cats and 1 dog :revolving_hearts:

I’m grateful for the furnace and the hot water buffers, I like a warm bathroom in the morning.
I’m grateful for chill mornings, crisp air, beautiful colours. My time of the year :hugs:

I’m grateful I did very little today beside cuddling & feeding pets & dogwalks. A bit of kitchen chores here, a bit of laundry there, a bit of fumbling around the house and outside. Lotsa calls with friends, grateful for friends who call me and wanna catch up after the summer, knowing that I have time and am relaxed in fall. Grateful for friends :folded_hands:

I’m grateful for naps, cat-induced, dog-induced, reading-induced. I’m grateful my life is so stressless, calm and free of emotional strain. As the 1 year mark of settling the finances and finalizing the divorce approaches, I’m heartfelt, deeply grateful for my life as it is, as it evolved and that all the bullshit and hurt lie behind me :folded_hands::four_leaf_clover:

Today I’m grateful for:

How incredible the human body is. How quickly it can recover and heal. The amount it can sustain. How fortunate I’ve been to not have more go wrong with mine.

Being more productive on my least productive sober days than I was on my most productive drunk days.

My recent ventures into gaming. I’m playing games like The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time, despite them having been released 10 years ago. How many people that played them and loved them back then would want to be in my position, playing them for the very first time.

For fresh fruit, greek yoghurt and low calorie jelly. What a combination.

For my new weighted blanket (please don’t tell anyone about this - I have a reputation to maintain :joy:)

For Talking Sober and the guardian angels inhabiting it.

I’m grateful for a quiet slow start to the day

I’m grateful for morning meditation. It’s amazing what 5-10 minutes can really do

I’m grateful for strong hot coffee in peace with my journal

I’m grateful for the day off from work

I’m grateful for nice weather

I’m grateful my partner cooked dinner last night. This is huge that he stepped up on the day of the week that I work and he doesn’t. It’s usually only Mother’s Day and my birthday that I get a break from these things.

I’m grateful to be feeling mostly calm even though there is so much going on right now in life

I’m grateful for everyone here in this community

I’m grateful to God for lovingly guiding me and helping me abstain from my addictions one day at a time. I’m grateful I can pray for his help with that again today. I’m grateful I have kept my cat alive and well, he’s pretty cool. I’m grateful that my parents and other family members are in my life. I’m grateful that its a good day to get outside and golf since I don’t have to work. I’m grateful for humor and laughter. I’m grateful for music that helps me feel the feels and can help change the feels as well. I’m grateful for the twelve steps and traditions.

p.s. You’re a star, shine bright. Ya you!!

Today I am grateful that yesterday I decided to buy a 1969 Coleman Pop-Up tent, to toodle around the U.S. It flew into my face and as soon as I saw it I felt that would change my current feelings of “nothing.” Rock on, Coleman. My big plan is a TBI travel in Vintage videos and Substack, yadda yadda.

Today I’m grateful for:

  • Purpose but also distractions, combining to keep me busy and to allow these days to rack up quickly.
  • My standing fan. I don’t know how I’d have got through this summer without it.
  • The TV my grandfather gave me probably over a decade ago - it’s somehow still going strong.
  • Just how good natured my niece and my dog are.
  • Things to come.
